Our Lady of the Rosary
Kellyville Parish

Welcome

Located in the north west growth sector of Sydney, our Parish is in the pastoral care of the Order of Friars Minor Conventual.

Kellyville is a closely-knit but outward-looking community. We endeavour to build on the foundations laid by our pioneers and take great pride in our magnificant church and two great local Catholic Schools.

If you are new to Kellyville, we invite you to join us in our spiritual journey by becoming a part of our community.

Fr Frank Brennan’s Homily: 4th Sunday of Lent, 2025

Homily for the 4th Sunday of Lent  29 March 2025 Joshua 5:9-12; Psalm 34; 2 Corinthians 5:17-21; Luke 15:1-3, 11-32 Listen at https://soundcloud.com/frank-brennan-6/homily-30-3-25   Today’s gospel presents us with two segments from Chapter 15 of Luke’s gospel.  The first segment is just three verses which introduce the theme of all that is to follow. ‘Tax collectors and sinners were all drawing near to listen to Jesus, but the Pharisees and scribes began to complain, saying, “This man welcomes sinners and eats with them.”’  These religious authorities and religiously righteous persons were distressed that Jesus was attracting tax collectors and sinners.  He was just not attracting the right sort of religious people. ‘He was not attracting our sort of people!’ In fact, […] [...]

The New Mosaic of the Middle East with Hezbollah, Israel and Syria

The new Syrian leader, speaking on Arab television about how he intended to exercise his power, emphasized that he would hold the reins of government firmly in his hands because “power sharing would destroy the transition phase.” This statement can be interpreted in two different ways: either in the sense that this approach is necessary to create a democratic and modern Syria; or in the sense that a new autocracy would be established, this time Islamist. It is too early, however, to draw conclusions. [...]
